About the Event
Join FHT UK and Celia Boothman as she explores being a women in endurance sport. Thinking about the challenges women have faced during our history in sport as well as the physical issues such as hormones, Celia will look at how we can rewrite that story and use our skills in the best way we can.
Celia Boothman is a highly accomplished triathlon coach with over a decade of experience in the sport. Her journey into triathlon coaching began as a passionate athlete herself, going from one of the slowest cyclists, to winning her age group in multiple events and achieving her dream goal of competing in Kona at the Ironman World Championships in 2017.
Known for her supportive and motivational approach, Celia has guided athletes of all levels – from beginners aiming to complete their first sprint triathlon to seasoned competitors striving for podium finishes in Ironman events. Her coaching style emphasizes consistency, discipline, and smart training strategies to help athletes reach their full potential while minimizing the risk of injury and burnout.
Beyond the physical aspect, Celia also highlights the importance of mental resilience and race-day strategy, instilling confidence and focus in her athletes to perform their best when it matters most. As a triathlon coach, Celia is not only dedicated to helping her athletes achieve their athletic goals but also fostering a vibrant and supportive community for women within the triathlon world. Her passion for the sport shines through, inspiring many individuals to embrace the challenge of triathlon and unlock their inner potential.
Outside of coaching, Celia hosts The Inspired Triathlete Podcast, interviewing women within the sport. She continues to push her limits in Rock Climbing, staying connected to Triathlon by continuing her swim, and run training, and constantly seeking new ways to enhance her coaching skills and knowledge
